Out of love tells the story of a woman, Lorna, who as a childless, single thirty-something looks back on her life to discover how she got here and where to go next. As she delves through thirty years of boys, babies and breakups she discovers an answer which had been there all along.
Grace and Lorna are BFFS from the day dot; next door neighbours as toddlers they are joined at the hip. But as the boys and gorwn ups in their lives start to interfere they find themselves of very different paths and jealousy, competition and distance grows between them. They are all but strangers until a threat to Grace’s health causes them to find their way back to one another and rekindle the unconditional love they once shared.
This performance of Out of Love was not a public performance but as part of a cross-course learning module. It was a full scale production however with students at every level. We worked with Professional designers and supervisors but the core team of the show and the season was entirely students.
