Izzy Ponsford

I am a theatre director, facilitator and movement practitioner who creates bold, socially engaged work with care, curiosity and rigour. My practice centres physical storytelling, collaboration and community, with a focus on empowering others to find and share their voice.

I am currently developing The Warp and The Weft, a multidisciplinary project exploring how textile work can hold memory, reclaim agency and spark collective change. I have run a few public performances and trial workshops of this project and I am now conducting a deeper research phase getting hands on experience of the different types of fabric work and finding more collaborators within the textile art world.
